Our Craft
Beauty is born from patience, intuition, and all things perfectly imperfect.
Every piece begins with Heath's own clay and glazes. Some techniques — like Landscape, first developed by Edith Heath in the 1970s — ask for a deep understanding of glaze chemistry and steady hands. Once the glazes intermingle in the kiln, they create breathtaking scenes of shorelines and summits, no two alike.
From our original Sausalito factory to the Mission compound in San Francisco — with a working tile factory, clay studio, and showroom under one roof — the making has never stopped.
From the Studio
A look at recent work from the Clay Studio, our gallery spaces, and the makers we've long called friends.
Take a Piece With You
Dinnerware, candles, and collaborations — pieces made to be used daily, and to last.
Orange zest, crushed sage, rosemary, lavender, cedarwood, eucalyptus. Good, honest ingredients — in a vessel you'll reuse for years.
In Taproot · Limited quantitiesSeven shapes. Nine glazes. One shared creative vision, uniting two legacies. Pick up a piece — or the whole set — before it's gone.
Final piecesA technique first developed by Edith Heath in the 1970s. Once the glazes intermingle in the kiln, every piece becomes its own landscape.
One of a kindAll about the thrill of possibility. Take a piece with you, and the feeling can last forever.
Last lookA sunny day, a sweet treat or two, and a tiny tray table for one. Dinnerware and accessories made for outdoors.
